Fans of more recent cartoon cocktail excursions by Messer
fur Frau Muller are in for a surprise when they check out
this 1992 release by the St. Petersburg band. This sound can
be safely said to have nothing to do with that. It's as if
they scrapped this earlier approach entirely where many bands
would have been content simply to rock out ad infinitum. As
is, it's a curious exercise to revisit this jerky, clattery
mess o' speed metal and sonic sludge with elementary rockabilly
guitar and distorted vocals that sound as if a bullfrog is
being tortured at the bottom of a well. Little joys indeed.
